You do not need previous experience to take part in deer stalking through Watermeadow. Many clients join us for their first introduction to stalking, guided safely and professionally by experienced instructors across our UK locations.
What To Expect On Your First Stalk
Your outing is structured so you understand what is happening at every stage, without pressure or expectation.

Do I Need My Own Rifle?
No. Rifle use is available for guided stalking where appropriate. You will receive clear instruction before any shooting takes place.
If you already hold a valid firearm certificate and wish to use your own rifle, this can usually be arranged provided you have the correct conditions on your certificate.
Will I Definitely Shoot a Deer?
Deer stalking is real wildlife management and cannot guarantee a shot opportunity. Some outings result in a shot, while others focus on learning fieldcraft and observing deer behaviour.
Safety, ethics and responsible decision-making always come before taking a shot.
Most beginners find the full experience - not just the outcome - highly valuable.
