SHOT FEES & TERMS
The following shot fees are indicative and may vary slightly depending on estate and location. Full confirmation of applicable fees will always be provided when your outing is arranged.
Watermeadow operates with a strong focus on ethical and sustainable deer management. Female deer (does and hinds) form the foundation of responsible population control, and shot fees are structured to reflect this.
Where estate management objectives require female deer to be taken, shot fees may be reduced or included within the outing fee.
Male deer, particularly those of sporting or trophy quality, carry higher fees reflecting their sporting value and estate management considerations.
Shot fees also vary depending on the type of outing booked:
Guided Stalking
Guided stalking outings include one cull animal within the outing fee. This typically refers to a management animal such as a doe or other agreed cull deer.
Additional animals, including trophy animals, are charged according to the "Indicative Shot Fees" schedule below.
Cull & Management Days
Cull & Management Days are specifically designed for population control and often include unlimited cull animals within the outing fee, depending on estate management requirements.
Unguided Stalking
Unguided stalking sessions are intended for experienced rifle certificate holders. Depending on the estate and management objectives, female deer may either be included within the outing fee or charged at a reduced management rate.
PAYG Sessions
PAYG (Pay-As-You-Go) sessions offer a reduced outing fee, with animals charged individually (often at a reduced rate per animal).
The indicative shot fees listed below apply only where animals are charged separately.

Guide Rifle Use
Where required, guests may use a guide’s rifle during a guided stalking outing.
Any such use takes place strictly under the direct supervision and control of the guide, who remains responsible for the firearm at all times.
The rifle remains in the possession of the certificate holder throughout the outing and is not transferred or loaned to the guest.
This arrangement reflects normal practice for professionally guided stalking conducted in accordance with UK firearms legislation.
A fee of £50 covers the provision of the rifle, cleaning, and a small quantity of ammunition. Additional ammunition may be charged where required.
Any damage will be charged at cost of repair or replacement.
