1. Overview

Watermeadow Deer Stalking provides professionally organised deer stalking and wildlife management activities across the United Kingdom, together with online booking and related services via this website.

These Terms apply to all users of the website and all clients participating in any activity arranged by Watermeadow.

By booking an outing or using this website, you agree to these Terms.

These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Watermeadow Deer Stalking.

2. Eligibility and Legal Compliance

You must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Hold all necessary firearm certificates where applicable
• Comply with all UK firearms legislation
• Hold valid shooting insurance where required
• Provide accurate booking information

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel bookings where legal, safety, or operational requirements are not met.

3. Bookings and Payments

3.1 Booking Confirmation and Dates

Bookings fall into two categories:

Flexible Date Bookings

Most guided and unguided stalking bookings secure an outing of the type and duration purchased. The specific date will be arranged after booking, based on estate availability, season, and deer management requirements.

Fixed Date Cull & Management Days

Cull and Management Days may be offered on specific advertised dates. Where a fixed-date event is booked, your booking secures a rifle position on that specific date.

These bookings apply only to the selected date and cannot be transferred except at our discretion.

3.2 Pricing

Outing fees cover access, guide services where applicable, and the stalking experience itself.

Shot fees, carcass purchases, accommodation, equipment hire, and additional services are charged separately where applicable.

All applicable fees will be confirmed prior to any shot being taken.

3.3 Cancellation by Client

More than 30 days notice:
Full refund or transfer

3–30 days notice:
50% retained, remainder held as credit

Less than 72 hours notice:
Full outing fee payable

3.4 Cancellation by Watermeadow

We reserve the right to reschedule outings due to:

• Severe weather
• Safety concerns
• Land access changes
• Operational or deer management requirements

Alternative dates will be offered.

Refunds are not provided based on the outcome or success of any outing. Deer are wild animals and cannot be guaranteed.

4. Guided, Unguided and Cull Activities

4.1 Guided Stalking

During guided outings:

• Guides remain responsible for safety and conduct
• Clients must follow all guide instructions
• Guides retain final decision on whether a shot may be taken

4.2 Unguided and Cull Activities

Unguided and cull outings are available only to experienced rifle certificate holders.

Clients remain fully responsible for:

• Safe firearm handling
• Correct species and sex identification
• Shot placement

Watermeadow retains overall operational control.

No independent shooting permission is granted at any time.

5. Safety and Conduct

All clients must:

• Comply with firearm safety requirements
• Follow guide instructions
• Act safely and responsibly at all times

Watermeadow reserves the right to terminate any outing immediately where safety concerns arise.

No refund will be given in such cases.

6. Land Access and Business Protection

6.1 Land Access

All stalking takes place on land where Watermeadow holds permission, licence, or lease.

Access is granted exclusively through Watermeadow.

Clients have no independent right of access.

6.2 Non-Solicitation

Clients agree not to approach, contact, or attempt to obtain stalking access directly from any landowner or location introduced by Watermeadow for a period of five (5) years.

This is a fundamental condition of booking.

6.3 Confidentiality

Clients agree not to disclose:

• Estate locations
• Landowner identities
• Operational details

without written permission.

6.4 Firearms Licensing Neutrality

Watermeadow Deer Stalking provides guided stalking and wildlife management activities only.

Booking or attending an outing does not grant land permission, sporting rights, or authority to shoot independently.

Watermeadow Deer Stalking does not provide firearms licensing advice, competency certification, permission letters, references, or endorsements for firearms certificate applications, variations, or renewals.

Firearms licensing decisions are made solely by the relevant police firearms licensing authority.

Watermeadow Deer Stalking does not participate in or influence firearms licensing decisions.

6.5 Shot Responsibility and Wounded Animals

Clients are responsible for all shots they take.

Where a deer is shot at and wounded, whether recovered or not, the appropriate shot fee shall apply.

The guide’s assessment of whether an animal has been hit, wounded, or missed shall be final.

6.6 Carcass Ownership

All deer remain the property of the estate unless expressly agreed otherwise.

Carcasses may be purchased at the applicable rate where available.

7. Risk Acknowledgement

Deer stalking and countryside activities involve inherent risks.

By participating, you accept these risks.

Watermeadow will take all reasonable steps to ensure safety but cannot eliminate all risk.

8. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Subject to this:

Watermeadow's total liability is limited to the amount paid for the booking.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

9. Force Majeure

Watermeadow shall not be liable for failure or delay due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including:
