CWD CULLING (NORTH BUCKINGHAMSHIRE - MK17) - CHINESE WATER DEER CULL DAYS FOR 1-6 PEOPLE
Join us for professionally run Chinese Water Deer cull days on a large beautiful English estate featuring a mixed arable and livestock farm alongside a traditional pheasant shoot. The estate supports healthy populations of Chinese Water Deer, Muntjac, and Roe Deer, offering varied and rewarding opportunities for experienced hunters.
Guests will be positioned in high seats or towers overlooking proven deer travel routes. Known as “Deer Movement Days,” each outing is strategically planned to keep deer moving naturally throughout the day – maximising opportunities and meaning it's rarely a dull day in the seat.
Booking Options
Group Day:
Book one or two seats for a full day of culling. Other guests may be shooting on the same day, making this option ideal for those who enjoy meeting and socialising with like-minded stalkers.
Exclusive Day:
Reserve exclusive access to the estate for yourself or your group. Perfect for friends or family wanting to hunt together in private, with the entire ground dedicated to your party for the day.
A Typical Day
Your day begins with a safety briefing before first light, followed by transport to your designated high seats. Guests spend a minimum of three hours in the field during the morning session, after which you’ll return for a hearty breakfast while animals are processed. The afternoon/evening session follows, ending after last light.
Many guests enjoy concluding the day at a local pub or café for coffee or dinner.
We can also arrange split sessions – for example, an evening hunt followed by a morning session the next day (e.g. Saturday evening and Sunday morning). Please contact us to arrange this option.
Requirements & Inclusions
Each guest enjoys at least six hours total field time (three hours per session).
Participants must have:
- Valid shooting insurance
- Their own stalking equipment
- Either a Deer Stalking Certificate Level 1 (DSC1) or a minimum of three years deer stalking experience
Non-shooting spouses or family members are welcome at no extra cost.
Your booking fee covers the guide’s time and up to four Chinese Water Deer (CWD) per guest (tusks not exceeding the lower jaw). Muntjac does may also be taken at the guide’s discretion.
Shot fees for larger CWD bucks, Roe does, and Muntjac bucks apply as per our Shot Fees page. Each guest may cull a maximum of four CWD per day.
Please note: Unaccompanied sessions are only suitable for experienced deer stalkers. Do not book unless you are confident in accurate species and gender identification.
You will be expected to gralloch your own deer to an acceptable standard - if you prefer a guide to do it please either book our accompanied days, or inform the guide who will charge you £25 per gralloch. If you are over 60yrs or physically impaired there is no charge if you want a guide to gralloch your deer for you.
Before booking, ensure you read our Terms & Conditions and Shot Fees pages.
